Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-22
This policy explains what AixShot does with your data. In short: your screenshots and recordings stay on your device, and we collect nothing about how you use the app.
Who is responsible
AJMALINA GmbH
Köhlstr. 3
52068 Aachen
Deutschland
E-mail: support@aixshot.app
What stays on your device
Screenshots, recordings, annotations and settings are created, edited and stored on your Mac or PC, and saved only where you choose. AixShot asks macOS for Screen Recording access (and, if you switch it on, the microphone) only to make the capture you asked for. None of this is uploaded.
Feedback you send us
If you use Send Feedback…, we receive the message you write, the contact address you optionally add, and the app version, operating-system version and language. It is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and used only to read and answer your message. We keep it as long as needed to handle your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the app and answering you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or, if you ask for a reply, your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Do not include sensitive information in the message.
Subscriptions and payment
The Mac App Store version is paid by subscription, handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive your name, Apple ID, card or other payment details; Apple tells the app only whether a subscription is active.
Analytics, advertising, tracking
None. AixShot contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking.
Updates outside the App Store
Versions downloaded directly from us check for updates by requesting a file from GitHub (github.com), which therefore sees your IP address. The Mac App Store version does not do this; Apple delivers its updates.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction or objection to its processing, and data portability, and you can complain to a data-protection authority. Write to support@aixshot.app.
Children
AixShot is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date.
